Chocolate SAKURA shrimp
Neocaridina davidi (heteropoda) var. chocolateVery beautiful shining brown colored variant of Neocaridina davidi (was: heteropoda). In nature, Neocaridina shrimp are distributed in China, Taiwan and Korea in small streams, ponds and flooded grassland and reedy areas near those waters.
Their basic body color is brown, and usually the surface of the carapace has a beautiful sheen. Sometimes especially the females have a beige-colored back line.
The Chocolate SAKURA dwarf shrimp (Neocaridina davidi (was: heteropoda) var. chocolate), like most freshwater shrimp, is an omnivore and will eat just about any food. The species is very peaceful and undemanding, other aquarium inhabitants have nothing to fear from them. You can easily keep them together with fish that do not predate on shrimp.
Chocolate SAKURA shrimp do not have any special requirements regarding the aquarium decoration ... here you can use your imagination freely. The shrimp are happy with a little moss and driftwood ... and if there are some hiding-places like tubes or brown autumn leaves (oak or beech) in the tank, your Chocolate SAKURA shrimp will have everything they need.
Our practical experience has shown that this number of surviving shrimp offspring is only realistic under the most optimal conditions. Usually, the shrimp will get berried every two to three months or so, and not all offspring will reach adulthood. Overpopulated Chocolate SAKURA shrimp tanks are thus not really a problem.

Chocolate SAKURA shrimp feel the happiest when the pH is between 7 and 7.5, a total hardness of 5 -10° dGH (German hardness) and a carbonate hardness of 2 - 6° dKH (German hardness). The temperature should be between 18 and 24° C ... varied food (predominantly of vegetable origin, and frozen food fed sparingly) contributes to heathly, vital, happy shrimp.

Wunderschöne Garnele.
Wunderbar sehr kräftig gefärbte braune Garnelen bekommen. Sehr agil einfach perfekt. Lieferzeit 1 Tag mit DHL.
Leider war nur eine Garnele braun, die andere ist eher durchsichtig weiß
Bin total happy .... sind erfolgreich angekommen,immer gerne wieder .1++++
Ich habe mir Ende August vor Ort 20 Tiere mitgenommen. Leider nicht in die Tüte geschaut. Es waren bedauerlicherweise nicht alle Garnelen Schoko, sondern auch tief blau gefärbt und sehr blasse fast schon naturfarbene Tierchen dabei.
Vorteil an der Geschichte : es waren teilweise geschlechtsreife Garnelen dabei .
Nachteil : ich selektiere immer noch sehr stark und habe bis jetzt ca. 5 Nachwuchstiere , die richtig schön gefärbt sind, wie auf den Bildern hier !!
Sehr schade für Geld ( 80€ für 20 Tiere ) hatte ich MEHR erwartet...

Sie waren beim ankommen putzmunter u frassen gleich nach dem eingewöhnen
Hatte fünf Stück zum Aufstocken meiner vorhandenen Gruppe bestellt. Es sind schöne, kräftige Tierchen, eine hat einen superschönen fast cremehellen Rückenstrich.
Tiere sind, trotz langer Reise und kalten Wasser, putz munter angekommen.
Alle haben eine sehr schöne Größe und eine sehr schöne Farbe.

Die Tiere haben den Transport sehr gut überstanden und sich schnell eingewöhnt. Die Tiere sind sehr munter und sehen toll aus. Natürlich liebe ich alle meine Garnelen, aber diese Farbform zur Zeit noch ein bißchen mehr.
