In nature, Riccia is a floating plant, but it can grow under water absolutely unproblematically when attached to stones or driftwood. If it is not fixed in some way its natural buoyancy would carry it to the water surface, though.

Riccia Stones are a layout material on which you can attach Riccia, ideally using Riccia Line. Their flat form enables you to lay out a  beautiful Riccia carpet in the foreground of your aquarium.
