Osmosis water is always preferred when the tap water is not suitable for use in the aquarium, or you just want to make sure that you can accurately enter the water conditions the fish and shrimp by the subsequent re-mineralizing effect by special mineral salts, they need for optimum living conditions.

Osmosis systems always operate on a similar principle: The Osmosis System is connected to the water pipe (for example, via the water tap or washing machine connector). By the pressure in the water line the water is forced through several membranes or filters. In the very fine membranes, the substances dissolved in water, stay hang and it comes out almost pure H2O.

Depending on the water demand in liters, there are different sized systems with different throughput rates. Large systems often have a Booster pump for better effectiveness.
