CO2 Check 30 mg/l ndicator for permanent CO2 test, 250 ml

A permanent CO2 test (drop checker) helps you to reach and to monitor the optimum CO2 content for your planted tank. The "CO2 Check 30 mg/l" indicator solution goes in your drop checker.

The pre-set carbonate hardness of 4 in the test solution changes to green when the CO2 content of the water reaches approx. 30 mg/l.

If you use this solution in your drop checker you will see if sufficient CO2 is present in your tank.

1-2 ml of the CO2 - KH4 solution for permanent tests are filled into the drop checker. After 1 to 2 hours, the solution changes colour and shows the CO2 content of your aquarium. Three colors are important:

The indicator is independent from your aquarium's carbonate hardness. KH3 and KH4 only symbolize the CO2 content (20 mg/l or 30 mg/l), which is shown through this test. The carbonate hardness in your aquarium does not play any role for exact CO2 readings inside your drop checker.
