The natural river drift wood Black Slim Wood is certainly one of the most beautiful woods and is perfect for the natural design of your aquarium, aquascaping layout or terrarium landscape.
Due to the beautiful and natural coloring with often light and dark areas in the wood and the differently pronounced branches, the Black Slim Wood is an absolute eye-catcher in your aquarium or aquascape. Placed individually or in combination with several wooden roots, possibly in different sizes, the Black Slim Wood aquarium drift wood can be combined to create wonderfully structured underwater landscapes in your aquarium.
The aquarium wood Black Slim Wood is perfect, for example, for tying up moss, Anubia or Bucephalandra species. The lush green, for example, of a ground moss cushion looks simply fantastic in combination with the very attractively colored Black Slim Wood... there are certainly no limits to your creativity.
Of course, the Black Slim Wood also serves as a hiding place and retreat for your shrimp, small crayfish or fish. The animals like to crawl around on the wooden roots and graze on the fine microfilm of bacteria and algae growth. Last but not least, the Black Slim Wood also releases important humic substances into the aquarium water and thus ensures the well-being of your aquarium inhabitants. A minimal discoloration of the water may initially occur from time to time, but then disappears completely after a while.
BIO-MICROFILM
After a few days under water, a milky-white fuzz often initially forms on the Black Slim Wood... but don't worry, this bacterial biofilm is NOT mold and is absolutely unproblematic for all animals in the aquarium. Quite the opposite... shrimp in particular pounce on it and use this bacterial lawn as a welcome nutritional supplement. The biofilm is either completely grazed away, but after a while it also disappears completely on its own.
WATERING
In some cases it may happen that the Black Slim Wood aquarium roots do not completely sink into the water. Then simply position the Black Slim Wood in the desired location in the aquarium and initially weigh it down with a stone. As soon as the root has been completely soaked with water after a while, the stone can be removed.
