ASAP 500

The Aquael filters of the ASAP series combine exceedingly high efficiency with a high functionality and an uncommonly clever design that shortens the time you need for maintenance and adjustment to an absolute minimum.

The ASAP internal filter has an up-to-date energy-saving motor inside its elegant housing, and a spacious transparent container that you fill with the filter sponge of your choice. The water is guided through the filter container where it is cleaned mechanically and biologically (thanks to the bacteria that colonize the sponge very quickly). The water in the tank is kept clear and pure, and remains safe for the animals in your aquarium. For maintenance, just take out the filter container from the unit and exchange for a new one (standard filter inserts are available, as well as special inserts with active carbon for water purification or phosphate binders that prevent algae from forming), or rinse the used sponge well in water that you take from your tank for this purpose. You do not have to take out the entire filter for doing so, which makes maintenance very comfortable and saves time.

The new ASAP internal flters are an excellent choice for aquaterraria, too, as they can run in water as shallow as 5 cm. Moreover they oxygenate the water efficiently as they move the water surface intensely. Three different typs are available, with a performance of 300, 500 and 650 l/h. They have been designd for the use in aquaria with a volume of a few dozen to 250 liters. They are great filters for beginning aquarium keepers, but also meet the requirements of experienced hobbyists, too.


Please note: This filter type is not shrimp-safe, as the impeller is not protected by the sponge.
