In almost any aquarium, after some time a residual film consisting of microorganisms, dust, oils and fats from the fish food. The EHEIM skim350 surface skimmer removes this film and renders your water surface crystal-clear, also increasing the oxygen content.
The EHEIM skim350 has been designed for permanent operation as well as for short-term use. When using the skimmer with several tanks please make sure you do not introduce algal spores or germs. The bacteria and dirt particles collect in the filter sponge. After use, just take it out and clean it thoroughly.

So ein klasse Helferlein!
Nach dem Pflanzenrückschnitt für ca. zwei Stunden ins Becken geklemmt und wie von Zauberhand ist die Wasseroberfläche wieder sauber.
Selbst die nervigen Fitzelchen von Eleocharis parvula und HCC werden rückstandslos entfernt.
Was noch an den Scheiben klebt, wird vorsichtig Richtung Skimmer gepinselt.
Falls mal eine Garnele oder ein Fischlein mit angesaugt werden, passiert den Tieren - dank integriertem Filterschwamm vor der Pumpe- nichts. Nach dem Abschalten können sie einfach wieder befreit werden.
Bin sehr zufrieden und schade, dass ich mir das Gerät nicht schon früher zugelegt habe, das hätte mir so manche Stunde Arbeit erspart!
