Hang-On Breeding Box M

The Fluval Breeding Box M (box for breeding and short-time keeping) is great for adapting e.g. fish to new water parameters, for mating shrimp you've selected from a larger group or for separating berried female shrimp so you can raise their offspring in a controlled way and out of danger of being eaten.

The Fluval Breeding Box M is hung onto the outward side of the aquarium glass and provides exactly the same water to the animals inside the box as they know it from the tank. This is done with the help of an air-driven suction pipe (please order air pump separately) that transports the water from the aquarium into the box. A (secured) overflow leads excess water back into the aquarium. You will thus not need an extra filter or heater for your breeding box.

The Fluval Breeding Box M comes with a separate bottom grid, with whose help you can give the box a second bottom chamber. Young fish or fish eggs as well as shrimplets can thus easily get out of the way of their parents. The grid has 1 mm wide slots.
