CO2 Magnetic Valve (Night shut off)

With a solenoid valve, the pH value can be controlled via a CO2 system with a pH controller, and the CO2 supply can be switched off completely at night.

In order to achieve a certain pH value in the aquarium and to regulate this via the CO2 supply, CO2 controllers are used. These measure the pH value in the water with a pH probe and the controller calculates, depending on the setting, whether CO2 needs to be added or not. It controls the solenoid valve and thus regulates the CO2 supply.

Plants do not need any CO2 in the night and therefore CO2 systems should be switched off in the dark. This not only reduces CO2 consumption, it also prevents excessively high CO2 values ​​in the aquarium at night. A night shutdown is easily implemented with a solenoid valve by operating it via a timer or switching it on together with the aquarium lighting. The solenoid valve is simply connected to the CO2 hose between the pressure reducer and the CO2 diffuser. It has the usual 4/6 mm hose connections.

Note: A CO2 pressure hose must be used from the pressure reducer to the solenoid valve.
