Red Oak leaves
Natural product - Quercus rubraThe Red Oak leaves are perfect as decoration, hiding place and food supplement for shrimps, crabs, crabs and snails, whereby the leaves of the Red Oak are not eaten directly, but the microorganisms settled on it are grazed. Compared to other leafy varieties, the Red Oak leaves with their interesting, jagged shape have a long decomposition time. Ideal if you have to leave your shrimp for a few days for a holiday ...; o) The Red Oak leaves do not pollute the water, as regular feed would do.
The Red Oak leaves were harvested in the Schönbuch region directly from the tree and not collected from the ground. This ensures the optimal quality of our Red Oak leaves.
Our tip
At first, the Red Oak leaves will float, sometimes for a few days, before they sink.
You can accelerate this process by soaking the Red Oak leaves in some boiling water or by stuffing them under a piece of driftwood.
Note
If you have lots of leaves in your tank the pH may decrease a bit.
The Red Oak leaves may stain the water with a yellow or brownish tint (but transparent). These effects will soon cease, though.
