Riccia/Moss Cultivation Ceramic Pad

The Riccia/Moss Cultivation Ceramic Pads are perfect for cultivating plants without roots or to decorate the aquarium with moss, such as Riccia fluitans, java moss, christmas moss, coral moss and all other types of mosses.

Due to the high weight of the Moss Cultivation Plates, the plates remain secure at the desired location and do not migrate even in strong currents. The small retaining wires are simply turned aside and the stainless steel mesh removed. Now spread the moss evenly on the ceramic plate and insert the stainless steel mesh again. Note: The small retaining wires are not made of stainless steel and can rust over time, which is harmless. The moss then grows evenly out of the stainless steel mesh of the Moss and Riccia Pads and over time obscures the whole plate so that you can not see it anymore. This makes it possible to realize very nice aquarium designs or moss landscapes for aquascaping layouts.

To care for the moss pads, you take the ceramic moss plate out of the aquarium from time to time, cut the moss down a bit and put the moss cultivating plate made of ceramic back into the aquarium. So you have quickly and easily your moss pad always in the desired size / height, without the aquarium even the cut remnants of moss.
