The JBL Aquatest is a quick test for determining the pH value in water in the range of 7.4 to 9.0. With this test, the pH value of the aquarium water can be measured easily, quickly and precisely, thus ensuring optimal living conditions for fish and plants.

This is how easy the JBL Aquatest pH 7.4 - 9.0 works:

1. Fill a cuvette with aquarium water
2. Add 3 drops of test solution
3. Gently swirl the cuvette.
4. Compare the color of the water with the color scale on the test card to read the pH value

Why is the pH value important?

The pH value is an important water parameter that indicates the acidity or alkalinity of the water. For most freshwater fish and plants, the optimal pH value is between 6.5 and 8.0. In sea water, the optimal pH value is between 8.0 and 8.5. A pH value that is too high or too low can have a negative impact on the health of your fish and plants.
