ProScape Volcano Mineral, 9 l

JBL ProScape Volcano Mineral is a highly porous volcanic rock for aquaria.

If you plan on placing heavy stones and pieces of driftwood onto your substrate you are often faced with the problem that their weight makes them sink into the substrate or destabilizes them. This makes the entire layout unstable, and pieces of decoration may even topple over. Pro aquascapers use JBL Volcano Mineral to construct a basis for these pieces under substrates like soil, which props up stones or heavy pieces of driftwood. As every substrate will even out after some time due to physical reasons, a maximum angle of 45 ° is realistic.

JBL ProScape Volcano Mineral also ensures a good water circulation inside the substrate and it contains valuable nutrients, minerals and trace elements. Besides calcium, magnesium and potassium, it also has trace elements like iron, boron and manganese. These minerals and trace elements supply your plants with everything they need for forming a strong root system. The result: strong, healthy plants that remain well for a long time.

Use
JBL recommends a layer thickness of around 2-4 cm as a basis. For further improving the effect, JBL recommends to sprinkle JBL Volcano Powder evenly over the layer of Volcano Mineral, as its powdered form makes the nutrients even better available for the plant roots. As uppermost layer, the substrate you desire to use is spread (e.g. JBL ProScape PlantSoil).

Please note
Do not use JBL ProScape Volcano in combination with fine sands (like JBL Sansibar Sand). The fine sand would enter the free spaces between the granules and thus the substrate would become very compact and lose its positive effects.

Important!
Do NOT rinse before use as you would lose important nutrients, minerals and trace elements.
