Sansibar DARK

JBL Sansibar Dark is a high-quality, fine-grained substrate that is ideal for freshwater and saltwater aquariums and aqua-terrariums. With its natural Dark coloring and uniform, decorative grain size of between 0.2 and 0.6 mm, it not only provides an aesthetically pleasing underwater landscape, but also creates the ideal conditions for a healthy and near-natural aquarium biotope.

Thanks to its fine grain size, JBL Sansibar provides optimum support for plant roots and thus supports vigorous plant growth. In combination with a nutrient substrate such as JBL AquaBasis plus, a particularly nutrient-rich substrate is created, which promotes root growth and facilitates the absorption of nutrients. For an ideal effect, a layer of sand of around 6 to 8 cm is recommended, which is applied to the prepared substrate.

Another advantage of the JBL Sansibar is its ability to prevent the infiltration of mulm and organic waste due to its dense storage and fine structure. This keeps the substrate clean for longer, which makes it much easier to maintain and clean the aquarium.

Correct storage
Before use, the substrate should be thoroughly rinsed under clean tap water to remove any abrasion and dust caused by transportation. The scope of delivery includes a bag of JBL Sansibar, which enables uncomplicated and immediate use.
