Siporax mini Professional

sera Siporax mini Professional is a highly porous ceramic filter medium that allows optimal colonization with nitrifying bacteria thanks to its exceptionally large inner surface. It is suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums, as well as all types of filters, and always ensures crystal-clear water. The filter material is made of sintered glass. The special pore structure in the filter material allows very powerful biofilms to form that literally grow into the pores. The film can grow and shrink and thus adapt to the load on the water. The pores are the optimal size to ensure long-term water flow and the supply of bacteria. The biological self-cleaning properties of the filter material are particularly practical.

In nature, organic waste is converted by microorganisms and thus reintroduced into the natural cycle as nutrients for aquatic plants. Pollutants such as ammonium, nitrite and nitrate are removed. The substrate found in nature is home to enough microorganisms. Since a biotope in an aquarium is located in a very small space, the settlement area must be increased as much as possible to ensure complete decomposition of organic residues.
