Liquid Mineral Ca+, 100 ml

Shirakura Liquid Mineral Ca+ adds essential minerals and trace elements to the aquarium water, raising the total hardness (GH). Especially in very soft water, shrimp tend to suffer from mineral deficiencies that may lead to color loss and even molting problems. The important microorganisms in the filter and the substrate grow inactive, which leads to a decreasing quality of the water. For breeding Bee Shrimp, we aim to have a carbonate hardness (KH) of 0 - 2, and to prevent the formation of ammonia, a pH of under 7. Often the total hardness (GH) is too low in these conditions. Then you ought to re-mineralize the water with Liquid Mineral Ca+ in order to avoid premature shrimp deaths. This solution does not influence the carbonate hardness (KH). Mr Shirakura recommends at least a GH of 5 (or more) for the shrimp to develop a healthy, strong shell.

Usage
When the tank is set up, add 5 ml (around 60 drops) of Liquid Mineral Ca+ to 10 litres of water directly in the aquarium. If the tank is already cycled and stocked with shrimp, split this dosis over a few days and add bit by bit. Pre-mix for water changes. 1 drop of Liquid Mineral Ca+ to 1 litre raises the GH by around 1°GH.
