Anubias barteri 'Mini Coin' 1-2-Grow!

The 1-2 Grow! plants from Tropica come directly from the lab, and they are free from algae, snails and toxic substances, which makes them ideal for shrimp and sensitive fish.

They can be put directly into a shrimp tank when the (unproblematic) nutrient solution has been rinsed off. There is no more need to quarantine them beforehand.

These plants are already cultivated in their submersed form in the sealed pot (in contrast to most traditionally-produced plants, which are grown above the waterline in aquatic plant nurseries), and when planted into an aquarium, there is no need for them to shed their air leaves and sprout underwater leaves... therefore, inVitro plants are off to a good start in a tank and will take root very quickly.

Anubias barteri 'Mini Coin'

The aquarium plant Anubias 'Mini Coin' is a variety of Anubias barteri that was found at the Tropica aquarium nursery in Denmark. Anubias 'Mini Coin' is one of the smallest Anubias species, each leaf is smaller than a little fingernail and it is just as easy to care for as its parents. Anubias 'Mini Coin' does not like bright light, so prefers to be in shaded areas.

Anubias 'Mini Coin' thrives best when placed on stones or woody roots. If Anubias 'Mini Coin' is planted in the substrate, the creeping stem (rhizome) must not be covered, as this can cause the plant to rot and die. Anubias 'Mini Coin' branches easily and forms a dense cushion of small, round, deep green leaves. If the plant becomes too dense, you can carefully divide it and plant the new plants elsewhere in the aquarium.

Anubias barteri 'Mini Coin' is perfect for small nano aquariums, but can also be used perfectly in larger aquariums for planting woody roots, for example.
