Bucephalandra pygmaea 'Bukit Kelam' 1-2-Grow!

The 1-2 Grow! Plants from Tropica come directly from the laboratory, are free of algae, snails and pollutants and are therefore ideal for shrimp and sensitive fish species. They can be placed in the tank immediately after rinsing off the sugary nutrient solution. No prior watering is necessary.

In nature, Bucephalandra usually grows on rocks and tree roots near streams, ponds and rivers and is relatively undemanding when it comes to light requirements and nutrient supply.

Tropica Bucephalandra 'Bukit Kalem' is an easy-care and slow-growing epiphyte that requires, or even prefers, little light. The willingness of this Bucephalandra species to branch even without pruning creates a very pretty bushy and dense appearance over time.

The green leaves of Bucephalandra 'Bukit Kalem' are 2 cm wide and approx. 5 cm long with wavy leaf edges. Tiny white dots appear on the leaves under water.

The creeping stem (rhizome) of Bucephalandra pygmaea 'Bukit Kelam' 1-2-Grow! must not be covered during planting. This would cause the plant to rot and die. It is best to tie (or glue) the rhizome to a stone, a wood root or similar solid surface. The Bucephalandra pygmaea 'Bukit Kelam' should never be buried/planted in the substrate.
