Bucephalandra sp. 'Needle Leaf' 1-2-Grow!

The 1-2 Grow! Plants from Tropica come directly from the laboratory, are free of algae, snails and pollutants and are therefore ideal for shrimp and sensitive fish species. They can be placed in the tank immediately after rinsing off the sugary nutrient solution. No prior watering is necessary.

In nature, Bucephalandra usually grows on rocks and tree roots near streams, ponds and rivers and is relatively undemanding when it comes to light requirements and nutrient supply.

Tropica Bucephalandra sp. 'Needle Leaf' is an easy-care and slow-growing epiphyte that requires, or even prefers, little light. Over time, this Bucephalandra species branches out, giving it a very pretty bushy and dense appearance.

The green wavy leaves of Bucephalandra sp. 'Needle Leaf' are 0,5 cm wide and approx. 1 - 2 cm long. Many of tiny white dots appear on the leaves under water and the youngest parts of the rhizome/shoot tips have a beautiful red color.

The creeping stem (rhizome) of Bucephalandra sp. 'Needle Leaf' 1-2-Grow! must not be covered during planting. This would cause the plant to rot and die. It is best to tie (or glue) the rhizome to a stone, a wood root or similar solid surface. The Bucephalandra sp. 'Needle Leaf' should never be buried/planted in the substrate.
