CO2 System Bio

Most aquarium plants cannot live without a supply of CO₂ - algae, on the other hand, can!
Therefore, many aquarists experience that without additional CO₂, their beautiful new plants quickly wither and the algae take over.

The Tropica CO₂ System Bio is a low-cost solution for additional CO₂ supply to the plants in the aquarium that is easy to install, use and maintain. The Tropica CO₂ System Bio is well suited to use a sufficient CO₂ supply in the aquarium as an alternative to conventional CO₂ bottles. With the Tropica CO₂ System Bio, the CO₂ is generated using a special biological mass, which on the one hand is easy and uncomplicated to mix, but on the other hand is also easily biodegradable and can be disposed of accordingly.

Usage

• Pour 300 ml of warm water (approx. 50°C) into the bottle
• Put on the lid without a ventilation opening and shake the bottle vigorously for one minute
• Then leave the bottle at room temperature for at least 24 hours (the contents become a solid gel)
• At the same time, soak the CO₂ diffuser in clean water for 24 hours
• After 24 hours add a portion of Activator to 200 ml of lukewarm water (max. 35°C)
• Leave the mixture to rest for 5 minutes, then stir until the activator has completely dissolved in the water
• Then pour the mixture into the bottle, place the seal in the cap with the ventilation opening and place it on the bottle
• Attach one end of the air hose to the bottle and the other end to the CO₂ diffuser
• Place the CO₂ diffuser in the desired location in the aquarium
• The CO₂ set is now completely installed
• Note: It may take some time (depending on the temperature several hours) until the CO₂ production starts

The Tropica CO₂ System Bio is designed to. about 60 days to produce CO₂.
With the Tropica Activator Refill (optionally available as a refill pack) you can refill the CO₂ system and produce CO₂ again for about 60 days.
