Plant Growth Substrate, 2,5 litres

The bottom fertilizer Tropica Substrate is ideal as a first layer in a planted tank (Nature Aquarium, aquascape) under the gravel or soil. Its porous structure enables the plants to form new roots more easily and to take up the nutrients. This guarantees healthy and constant growth for your plants in your planted tank, and for a long time. Tropica Substrate Nutritions for Aquariums is water neutral and therefore has no influence on the KH or pH value in the aquarium.

Use
When the tank is set up, add Tropica Substrate in a layer of about 1 cm thickness on the bottom of the tank. In the table below you can see th dimension of some standard-size aquaria and the recommended quantities of the fertilizing substrate.

Place at least 3 to 4 cm of gravel or soil onto the layer of Tropica Substrate as a barreer between the concentrated substrate and the water. When planting, put your aquatic plants into the substrate as usual. They will form new roots in the substrate very quickly. When planting, make sure not to stir up the substrate in order to prevent the peat and clay particles of the concentrated bottom fertilizer from mixing with the water.
