The 1-2 Grow! plants are already cultivated in their submerged form and can therefore quickly adapt to the aquarium after being placed in it. Unlike many conventional potted plants, there is no need for the time-consuming transition from emersed to submerged conditions, creating optimal conditions for rapid growth.

Solenostoma tetragonum ‘Pearl Moss’, also known as Pearl Moss, is an extraordinary and rare liverwort species from Borneo that stands out distinctly from classic aquarium mosses due to its unique structure. The small, rounded, and slightly translucent leaves form dense, compact cushions in a rich shade of green, giving any aquarium a natural, high-quality look. Thanks to its distinctive growth habit, the plant is ideal for adding delicate accents to roots, rocks, or other hardscape elements.

Unlike many conventional mosses, Pearl Moss grows slowly and develops attractive, cushion-like clumps over time. Its fine texture is particularly striking in natural aquariums and sophisticated aquascapes. The plant harmonizes perfectly with Bucephalandra species, ferns, and other shade-tolerant plants, creating exciting contrasts within the layout.

For optimal growth, good lighting and an additional CO₂ supply are recommended. Under stable conditions, Solenostoma tetragonum develops a particularly dense structure and often forms small oxygen bubbles between its leaves. This so-called “pearl effect” gave the plant its name and makes it a real eye-catcher in the aquarium. Due to its slow growth, it is also very easy to care for and rarely needs pruning.
