The combination of light sand, broken rock and rounded stones looks absolutely realistic, as if taken directly from nature. Especially in combination with light green aquarium plants, the Biotop Bed Africa - Mere RiverBed creates a very nice contrast that will definitely make your aquascaping layout something very special.

The Biotop Bed Africa - Mere RiverBed has a sand/gravel/stone size of approx. 1 mm - 40 cm and can slightly harden the water in the aquarium.

TIP

Pure sand or gravel generally contains no (minimal) nutrients for aquarium plants and the important microfauna (bacteria). If you only use gravel as a substrate when setting up the aquarium, it is recommended (depending on the plants used) to use substrate fertilizer, e.g. fertilizer balls or a nutrient layer under the gravel.

NOTE

Although all WIO stones and gravel are pre-washed, it is still advisable to rinse them briefly with water before placing them in the aquarium. This way, fine abrasion that may arise during transport does not get into the tank and/or initially cloud the water.
