Biotop Bed USA - Glacier RiverBed

The WIO Biotop Bed USA - Glacier RiverBed is a substrate mixture of predominantly dark sand, gravel and pebbles in various shapes and with individual light parts. The mixture of the Biotop Bed USA - Glacier RiverBed by WIO is inspired by the glacial lakes and rivers of North America, mainly the cold glacial water of Lake McDonald in Montana, USA, where the unique coloring of the pebbles creates a stunning contrast to the crystal clear water.

The Biotop Bed USA - Glacier RiverBed from WIO is perfect for creating a very natural impression of lakes, rivers or streams from the glacier region, or for adding wonderful color accents to a "regular" aquascape. The combination of dark sand and stones of different sizes with light parts looks very natural, as if taken directly from nature. Especially in combination with light-green aquarium plants, the Biotop Bed USA - Glacier RiverBed creates a very nice contrast that will definitely make your aquascaping layout something very special.

The Biotop Bed USA - Glacier RiverBed has a gravel/stone size of approx. 1 - 50 mm in different earth colors and has no influence on the hardness of the aquarium water.

TIP
Pure sand/gravel usually contains no nutrients for aquarium plants and the important microfauna (bacteria). If you only use gravel as a substrate when setting up the aquarium, it is recommended (depending on the plants used) to use substrate fertilizer, e.g. fertilizer balls or a nutrient layer under the gravel.

NOTE
Although all WIO stones and gravel are pre-washed, it is still advisable to rinse them briefly with water before placing them in the aquarium. This way, any fine abrasion that may occur during transport does not get into the tank and/or initially cloud the water.
