The Fluval filter maintenance set for the AquaClear AC20 or AC30 high-performance filter contains all the important filter media inserts that need to be maintained and replaced for efficient operation of the system.

Bio-Foam
This Bio-Foam filter insert for the AC20/AC30 was developed to keep the cleaning performance of the Fluval AquaClear AC20/AC30 at the highest level. The dense 30PPI foam construction provides effective dirt and contaminant retention while ensuring an even and constant water flow.

Activated carbon
The activated carbon is the third, chemical stage of the 4-stage filtration of an AquaClear AC20/AC30 high-performance filter. The activated carbon reliably removes odors, discoloration and harmful impurities from the water by effectively absorbing toxins and organic substances. In this way, it not only helps to improve the water quality, but also supports the health of your fish and other aquarium inhabitants.

BIOMAX
The BIOMAX nodes for the AquaClear AC20/AC30 are specially developed filter material that ensures effective biological filtration in your aquarium. The complex pore system of the nodes allows beneficial bacteria to colonize quickly and multiply optimally, which promotes the breakdown of harmful ammonia and nitrite. These bacteria play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy and stable aquarium environment.
