SP-Moospad Cave

The SP-Moospad Cave is an innovative new product that combines two tried and tested ShrimpPuddle product lines. It is an ideal solution for aquarium owners who are looking for a practical way to house their shrimps and dwarf crayfish and at the same time effectively integrate moss into the aquarium. Unlike classic caves, which quickly reach their limits with moss, the Moospad Cave offers a functional combination of hiding places and a moss planting station.

The design of the Moospad Cave makes it easy to integrate moss without the hassle of gluing or tying. You can simply place the moss in the bowl, close the cave and everything is ready to go. The special feature: depending on how you turn the lid, you can adjust the air opening - 1 mm for fine moss and 2 mm for coarser moss or small ferns. This flexible handling makes planting moss particularly easy and effective.

Mosses such as Riccia fluitans, Taxiphyllum or Vesicularia dubyana are particularly suitable for the SP-Moospad Cave.

Mosses are an ideal retreat for shrimps and their offspring. They grow quickly and densely, providing the small animals with optimum protection - young shrimps and pregnant females in particular like to seek refuge in the moss. They can also use the moss as a source of food, as beneficial bacteria and algae accumulate in the fine leaves, which the shrimps graze on.
